Although I've been blogging for a while, and the Newnham Admissions team are seasoned users of Google calendar, iGoogle was new to me. When I first logged in with this ID, I found it a bit annoying that it reverted to my work ID, and I think I'll have to get used to logging out and doing 23 Things in a completely separate time-slot, rather than fitting in bits and pieces in between other work. Oh well, we'll see!
Just an additional note on the subject of iGoogle. I have now tweaked it a bit, removed a few widgets (e.g. YouTube) and added others (e.g. a search box for Wikipedia, a to-do list), but am not convinced I will use it much.
ReplyDeleteThe home page on my laptop is my email provider, and at work it's the College website, and any other sites I use regularly are in my bookmarks list. The Admissions team all use Google calendar, so we can see each others' appointments, and the small format calendar in iGoogle doesn't really show enough to be useful.
Anyway. That's enough about that for now.
